Abstract
There has been a misconception of how people interpret scientific findings. This research is aimed at trying to find out if the results of the findings done by someone else are reliable or not. People tend to believe experiments done others while in real sense; the experimenter is the one who decides on what should be or should not be included in the research. The ideas are dependent on interlocking variables and the threads of influence.
Introduction
Measurements are not reliable sources of information and conclusion since they will always have some uncertainty. These uncertainties in relation to measurements can be classified into:
Statistical uncertainties: they point to a range of values which have a set probability within which a specified “true” value is likely to be. One can come up with a range of statistical uncertainties using the best possible situations (Anonymous, 2011)
Body
There should be a clear statement of uncertainties explaining how dependable the results should be, the limits of that measurement are, whether the theoretical model of the text book can be applied to the measurement conducted and the level of confidence that one should have in relation to the measurement (Anonymous, 2011).
Data should therefore be described in a clear way that is easy to communicate and understand. This can be done by using simplified models of measurement, having several people do the same research and combining the data with other researchers to find the level of uncertainties’. This is done by comparing the findings.
