I possess the passion and commitment to students and to their success. My love for teaching and learning will enable me to quickly become a valued staff member. I am a competent and caring teacher who has a depth of experience to create and maintain a nurturing classroom environment that effectively meets the challenges of diverse groups of students. My national and international teaching experiences have allowed me to develop excellent student-focused teaching and learning skills. It is my goal to combine this depth of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, and intelligent teacher, who will make a positive contribution to each student and their achievement. I encourage learning by using several different manipulatives, hands on activities, technology, and by encouraging class discussion, open-ended questions, and cooperative learning. I can facilitate a highly interactive and inquisitive classroom atmosphere. My focus as a teacher has consistently been on student achievement hence, I adjust instructions to cater for the abilities, learning styles and interest of a diversity of learners by differentiating instruction, assessment type and tool.
