First, I thank the Almighty God for his unrelenting guidance and blessings. Second, I thank the Manager and the Brokerage Company for their constant support and for the permission to render my OJT to their respective offices. Third, I thank my instructor for his endless support and advice throughout my OJT. Most especially, I thank my beloved parents who have supported me throughout my formal education. With all the support I have received, I am determined to pursue my respective endeavor and occupation in the year ahead. INTRODUCTION FOR OJT DOCUMENTATION In partial fulfillment of the Business Administration course, the student is required to practice his or her learning in a real workplace where they are tasked with some duties. This program is known as OJT. OJT, alternatively known as On the Job Training, is part of a college curriculum aimed at training, orienting, and improving students’ unique attributes about their work and future career. OJT experience is a type of skill development whereby a trainee learns how to do the work by observing different types of department areas. OJT exposes students to different work situations which are designed to give the students an opportunity to experience and apply the theories that they have learned from school. OJT helps students to acquire relevant skills and knowledge by performing in actual work settings. An effective OJT program also benefits the organizations who accept trainees. The most critical aspect of OJT is to educate students about their chosen career path and show them what the business world is really like. OJT is an effective teaching method because it gives the trainee practical experience with the equipment and tools that he or she will be using on a daily basis. The OJT is purposed to place the participants in occupations that will allow them to become self-sufficient and enhance their prospects for long-term employment. DEPARTMENT/AREA OF ASSIGNMENT My manager assigned me to the finance department where I worked under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer to manage systems and processes, filings, document retention, and historical records. Through a structured learning experience in a fast-paced environment, I gained a broader understanding of business administration. My primary responsibilities were Reviewing historic records and digitizing archives, assisting with year-end processes and transition to 2018-2019 fiscal year, Initiating and revamping document retention policies, creating systems to ensure organizational accountability, creating Human Resource file archive and filing systems, and attending relevant SPA events and participating in intern activities.
