Modern technology has revolution the way we receive and pass information. Like never before, we transfer important within seconds. We have numerous platforms where we can subscribe and create personalized profiles to exchange ideas and interact with other people. There is evidence that smart devices collect certain information in order to work properly. There is much information being collected by technology companies through smart devices. As people continue purchasing smart speakers, televisions, thermostats, and other appliances, there are chances that agencies are using this connected equipment to spy on people.
Most of the devices have microphones and are fitted with cameras that record people as they talk. Moreover, when subscribing to websites, people share pertinent information about their life. This data is utilized by companies to understand the behaviors of the people. People are always reliant on their devices. There little that can be done without the use of smart devices. As we continue to rely on these devices, the companies collect important information about our likes and dislikes (Hu, 2019).
When we consider devices like smartphones, they are fitted with diverse features that allow companies to access one’s location, browsing history, and microphones to record voices.
