In the first stanza Wordsworth says, “I wandered lonely as a cloud.” Although the words appear simple, the poet implies an uncertainty imagery that stems from his employment of individualism concepts of Marxism. This line downplays values and emphasizes individuality, thus embracing the perspective that human individual is of core important in liberation context. “A host, of golden daffodils” communicates the theme of refreshing power and healing. This mirrors Marxist theory where there is no class struggle, thus bringing a motivating spirit and morale that is absent within a capitalist society. “A poet could not but be gay,” implies the social perspectives within Marxist society whereby the poet can pursue their secular welfare.
