Management of the World`s Ecosystems
It is very true that all the people in the world actually rely on Earth`s ecosystem and all the services that it provides for instance the water, food, regulating climate, managing diseases, aesthetic enjoyment and the spiritual fulfillment. For the past fifty years people have altered these ecosystems more hastily and very expansively than in any other equivalent era of time in human history, widely to meet the highly growing demands of fresh water, food, fuel and fiber among others. This change of the earth has led to significant net gains in human well-being and economic advancement (Foster, 2009). However not all groups of people and regions have got benefits from this method. Instead majority have been hurt. Additionally, the total expenses linked with these improvements are only becoming ostensible.
There is a chain of crisis facing our ecosystem currently. For instance, environmental pollution and completeexhaustion of all natural resources. Similarly the production and managing industrial waste poorly actually destructs the natural ecosystem. Meanwhile the unrestrained resources use has led to shortage problems. The likelihood of such an event invocates doom to the world economy and unparalleled human health risks. It is therefore a disaster which is actually going to take place if there are no immediate actions taken or put in place (Zaman, 2011).
According to Clark (2011) the issue is compounded by a promptly rising human population that actually creates pressure on the existing and available natural resources and quickensthe waste production rate. It is therefore a matter of urgent concern for the governments, health organizations and the environmental agencies to come up with policies that would enhance environmental conservation and the right way to manage waste.
The following are three major problems that are associated with our world`s ecosystem management and which are causing a lot of harm to people and mostly the poor. First approximately 61% which is 16 out of 26 of the ecosystem services inspected during the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment are currently being besmirched or in other areas used unsustainably, including capture fisheries, water and air purification, fresh water, pests. Natural hazards, regulating local and regional climate. It is clear that the total costs of the loss and also the degradation of these ecosystems services are hard to measure, though the existing proof depicts that they are growing and substantial. Many ecosystem services have actually been tainted as a result...
