PART A
The main objective of this learning objective is putting together a play with the use of the objectives of the tools of the mind. Under this learning activity, I will use the scaffolding technique and ask the child to write the details about a future play and also draw the pictures of the characters who will be featured in the play. I will also give thee child a plan that can be used when writing the play. Just like I learned in chapter 10, I will listen to the plan of the child, guide the child, and lastly give the child an opportunity to write the plan with regard to my instructions (Marshall, 2013). The child will be challenged but in the long run, the child will be able to offer assistance. In the play I will ask the child to compose a play based on something the kid has knowledge about, for example, going to the shopping mall. I will give the props and the costumes that will assist in making the plan of the play.
Objectives
The tools of the mind promote a lot of learning objectives among the students. In this case, the child will work in improving literacy and writing skills by writing the play. Additionally, self-regulation skills will be reflected in the scenarios when the students will waiting to play each role in the play. The last objective is to enhance memory. Students will be given a chance to create and write and play and then transfer the play into real-life scenarios.
To ensure there is maximum creativity in the play, I will change the drama area into a small shopping mall and also set out the costumes and the props. This will trigger creativity in the mind of the students and also prepare them psychologically on how the play will go (Marshall, 2013). I will give the children enough time to write and demonstrate the play and also seek assistance from other students.
Lastly, I will create a plan for distinct learning opportunities that will make the child discover new themes and ideas. This plan will also support the three learning objectives labeled above. The transformation of the drama area into a shopping mall, the props, and the costumes will prepare the students to write more about the play. With adequate assistance, the students will make some name tags that will be used to identify different characters in the play.
Part B
Out of the three concepts above, I will use the concept of understanding change. In the first lesson, we will discuss some of the reasons why the personality of a person can change. I will give a brief introduction to why people change. I will record all the questions that the students will ask. Students will use computers and group work to answer some of the questions that will be asked in class. Students will also write some journals on some of the things they will have discussed in class and in group works.
In the second lesson, we will discuss the type of changes that happen in the body of a person. Growth and development is something students pass through every day.
