What character did YOU most identify with in the Foreign Language Film you watched and what did the filmmakers do to make you identify the character?

Parasite won the Best Film and Best Foreign Film in the 92nd Academy Awards. The film, another spectacular release by Bong Joon-Ho, follows the lives of two families that become intertwined for days. The film follows the most prevailing theme in Bong's works, class structures. In this paper, the author analyzes Kim Ki-Taek's character and Mise en Scene in the picture.
Kim is the patriarch in his family. He is unemployed but resilient and hardworking. This can be seen in the scene where he folds pizza boxes undeterred by the choking smell of insecticide fumigation smoke (Joon-ho, 2019). Due to the poor state in which the Kims live, they are willing to exploit anyone to get ahead. Therefore, once they realize that the Parks are gullible and easy-going, they jump at the opportunity. Kim is more than willing to participate in the plan that his son has formulated to exploit the Park family.
In the middle of the film, the Kims decide to indulge themselves in everything the Park home offers. For instance, Ki-Jung appears to naturally fit with the Park's lifestyle as she soaks in one of their bathtubs (Joon-ho, 2019). Even Ki-woo comments on this later in the night when they are drunk and exchanging banter. However, their merry-making is cut short when Moon-gwang, the former housekeeper, arrives (Joon-ho, 2019).
