Summary of “The Kissing Booth 1 Movie.” The Kissing Booth 1 is an American teen romantic comedy released in 2018. The movie is about Elle Evans and Lee Flynn, who grow up together due to their moms’ close friendships and go on to become best friends. To secure their special friendship, they developed friendship rules, including rule number 9, which states that relatives are off-limits. As they navigate the normal teenage changes, Elle’s mother dying of cancer and the new school year, Elle struggles with her strong feelings for Noah, Lee’s brother, and keeping her promise to her best friend.  On the first day of school, her pants rip, and she is forced to wear a short skirt to school. A classmate, Tuppen, touches her inappropriately, resulting in Noah fighting him. Tuppen, Noah, and Elle get detention, and Tuppen apologizes by wearing a short skirt and asking Elle out. Unfortunately, he stands her up due to Noah’s threats to him and all the other guys in the school not to pursue her. Noah’s action leads to Elle acting out by refusing to listen to him and strutting into the guy’s locker room to confront him. Elle and Lee resolve to host a kissing booth for the fundraiser and subtly hint to the popular girls Olivia, Mia, and Gwyneth (OMG girls) of Noah's participation despite his declining.
