Essay on Technology STUDENT NAME PROFESSOR NAME SUBJECT DATE Birth control is any method that prevents fertilizations on the outer one third of a woman`s reproductive system. Thus prevents the spermatozoa from getting into the conception of the mature ova and thus pregnancy is prevented. It`s done through different kinds of methods which include hormonal methods which include use of birth control pills, the implant, virginal rings and intra-ceterine devices, which are inserted into a female`s uterus. Other methods include use of condoms, diaphragm and sponges natural family planning; permanent birth control (sterilization) and use of emergency contraceptives. However, it has a long history attached to it and certainly one that cannot be denied as the history influences some of the birth control methods applied today. It`s a controversial issue today as it`s throughout its history, because it`s believed to interfere with natural processes and work of creator (Title, 2004). Thus an argument is based that in this day age, there`s much prevalence of such consideration for birth control because the fact that people are more concerned with the high living demands and health and the issue of sexually transmitted diseases thus the married couples and unmarried are liable to sex which makes the use of contraception more wide spread. The case also spreads to the family lifestyle for preference of certain number of manageable number of kids has proposed the basis of use of birth control methods (Davis, 2005).
