1. What kinds of technology, environmental projects, or public education campaigns will you put into place to insure that your carbon emissions targets are met in your country? (5 points)
We intend to invest in carbon sequestration and carbon-free energy sources. Carbon sequestration entails capturing carbon dioxide from point source or from atmosphere and storing it deep into the sea and earth. Carbon sequestration technologies will particularly at energy production plants to capture and sequester it afterwards into oil fields.
Carbon-free sources of energy sources are another option we are considering. We need alternatives sources like nuclear plant, solar, wind power and geothermal power to be able to reduce carbon emissions.
Plans are underway to plant more plants to increase land under forest. Forests are good carbon sinks. We intend to increase forest coverage to 32% from the current 17%. The challenge we are facing now is unpopular land policies but the sooner th...
