Health and environment relate to one another, which form many discussions from various researchers. The two elements influence the essence of life on the universe as people strive to have a clean environment for a healthy life. Humans associate with the environment on a daily that prompts the need to maintain a healthy environment. The World Health Organization defines the environment with interrelation with chemical, biological, and physical factors. Besides, this, in turn, affects the health status of people and other living things to prevent diseases, injury as well as the disability from the relationship between people and the environment. People aim at creating a sustainable healthy environment free from pollution to enhance a better quality of life. The connection between health and the environment has lured many to understand the significance of environmental health in society.
Heath poisoning in the state of Maine was due to the lack of a carbon monoxide (CO) detector that led to the pollution of the environment. It endangers the lives of many people that cause breathing difficulties in people. People with breathing problems such as asthma, miscarriages, numbness, and unexplained vision problems are at much risk. The data on the needs to assess CO in the atmosphere led to new legislation for the detection of CO on various departments such as Dental units and single-family homes due to the renovation resulting sell of property (CDC, 2018).
Aging people in society are susceptible to heat illness due to increased heat on the surface of the earth. More elderly cannot control temperatures in their bodies; therefore, they are the risk of heat illness. Besides, summer heat affects many adults that can lead to more heat-related death in the United States. Many of the senior population do not sweat as much the young adults, which is an effective mechanism for controlling the heat of the body. They store fat layers in the body that complicates the heat-regulation approach of the body. Therefore, high temperature in the surrounding environment heat stroke to them than the younger generations. Lead poisoning is another factor that adversely affects the health of children in their early childhood stage that health departments need to advocate to promote environmental health. Water should have a safer remodeling process lead paint as well as test the blood of children in the doubt of lead exposure. It helps to promote a healthy population in the world that is free from poisoning because of adherence to health conditions.
