Employee Portfolio Management Plan Name: Instructor: Date: Employee Portfolio Management Plan Proper management of employees is important as his enhances productivity in any organization. Three employees Terra Williams, Ashley Doius and Lauren Adams were selected whereby they filled self assessment reports. The reports sought to find out to what extent personality shaped employee productivity. All the three employees had positive result scores which indicate good performance in Riordan Manufacturing. Job satisfaction According to Gadot & Drory (2006) job satisfaction entails the positive emotional appraisal of a job or job experience and is closely related with job involvement and morale. Furthermore, job satisfaction determines how employees feel about there accomplishments and the level of rewards in the job. All the employees showed had high scores above 75. Theses scores illustrate that the employees are happy in there jobs and employee turnover is likely to be low. Employee engagement This denotes the level to which employees are committed in an organization as well as the extent to which employees are involved beyond terms of the contract. The three employees showed high scores which correlates with improved performance and job satisfaction. Employee emotions and affect intensity Emotions are the day to day feelings and impulses experienced by people (Dalton et al, 2010), more positive emotions lead to positive behavior; they can however vary from one day to the other. Affect intensity is related to emotions, two employees had high scores which made enabled them to work well with others and were also passionate about their feelings. Ashley Douis had a score of 25 and was not emotionally intense and was able to display emotions where appropriate. Emotional intelligence This refers on how people manage and control there emotions and those of others as is appropriate (Dalton et al, 2010). The high scores recorded show that the employees have good interpersonal skills. Consequently the employees expressed there feelings as appropriate while there performance was good. Decision making Decision making is the process through which people make choices, this may be through consultation or own choices from available alternatives. Terra Williams had the highest score indicating that decision making process was fast and information seeking preceded decisions. Lower scores indicated that the other two took more time to decide. Additional self assessment There is need to look into whether the level of job experience affects productivity, though the employees are satisfied they may get bored with repetitive routines to the extent that productivity may decline.
