Educational Tour Narrative Report: School Activity

EDUCATIONAL TOUR NARRATIVE ESSAY Introduction: Educational tour is a school activity that enables the student to explore and develop their visual literacy. Its primary purpose is for us to create our own experiences and learn from it. Since we are away from the comfort of our school, this event will help the us to discover our own strength and weaknesses. This is an opportunity to meet new acquaintances and establish connections that may help us in the future. Educational Tour: A Narrative We, the hospitality and tourism students from the University of Mindanao organize an educational tour with a theme: "Reverse the trend for one day, be the spark." It is a 1-day tree planting event in Turtle Sanctuary, Punta Dumalag, Davao City that has a goal to educate us about the importance of the natural environment in Ecotourism. September 8, 2012 The participants gather in the school gym at 05:00 in the morning and we started the head count at 05:30. All and all, the total number of students and the instructor is 80 persons. There are two buses and I hop in bus number 1. Before we go, we pray to God to keep us safe and to guide us in our activity. To kill the boredom inside the bus, we play a different kind of games that are relevant to our theme. Besides, since we are tourism students we and must deliver our own spill every time we pass a tourist spot. This way, we will be able to enhance our tour guiding skill which is very essential for us. If the delivery of your spill is great, then you'll have higher points. I was assigned to give them information about the Matina Town Square. I just give them brief facts about the place and what are the tourism contribution of it in the city. By the look of their faces, I can see that they entertained and satisfied with my spill. Fast forward to the venue, we arrive in Punta Dumalag barangay hall at around 7:30 in the morning.The hall employees welcome us with a big smile on their faces. Through their eyes, you'll see how happy they are that we choose their community among other barangay in the city. They are all hospitable and their community is quite pure and uncomplicated.
