Discussion Question Name Institution Date Question 2: who should be on a recovery planning team before a disaster? Who should be on a post disaster planning team? Why does the composition of the team matter?  In addressing disasters, the before and after disaster planning team should comprise of an array of people. The involvement of the community is important; involving residents living in historic neighborhoods can help identify historical and cultural resources. Architects, engineers, historic preservation officers can help in designing ways to salvage and reuse historical elements. Historical preservation officers are important because they help recapture the community sense of identity.
