Freedom and Security
Freedom and security are usually, juxtaposed as two conflicting ideals. In this regard, it is usually perceived that in order for members of a community or the citizens in a country to be truly free, they have to give up security and vice versa. However, freedom and security are entirely different concepts and one should not be sacrificed because of the other.
Freedom and security interdependent in that people cannot enjoy one without the other. For example, the ability to live freely in a society depends on the relative level of security.
