It is quite challenging, especially in a large group, to communicate properly, especially when the speaker does not have enough knowledge or experience CITATION Rob19 \l 1033 (Robinson, Segal, & Smith, 2019). Thus, to help the speaker achieve a better way of communicating in an organization, one must understand that there are key factors that influence communication skills and some of them will be discussed in this paper.
To become an effective communicator, one must first engage in active listening. Listening is different from hearing. The former requires understanding while the latter is pure sensory perception. Listening will help the speaker understand the meaning beyond the words of their dyads by observing all the other factors such as their gestures, subtle intonations, and emotions.
