An essay responds to order 00099471:

Factors cause career choice

Format:

You will have a thesis that states an effect:

EXAMPLE

SAMPLE TOPIC: The long-term effects of smoking cigarettes.

SAMPLE THESIS

Due to the addictive nature of nicotine, many people continue to smoke. They are in danger of suffering long-term consequences which include social isolation, spread of secondhand smoke to others, and serious illness,

My 3 body paragraphs will discuss one effect in the order in which they are stated in my thesis.

I will have one quote sandwich with a citation in each paragraph.  For research I will look to the American Cancer Society’s webpage, Center of Disease Control webpage. One is a .com and one is .org.  I will reference them on my WC page.

My conclusion will be a typical conclusion: Wrap up, echo thesis, and food for thought, very likely designed to make a reader think about how important it is that people not smoke.

Think about your research paper.

Ex: Using my research topic as a sample,  providing affordable mental health services to low-income citizens.

I will write an essay, what are the effects of lack of affordable mental health service for low-income families: long-term effects include inability to hold a job, unstable family relationships, little contribution to society.

Or, what are the causes of budget cuts to affordable mental health in low-income families? Government considers other services more important, taxes would be raised, not enough clinicians due to low pay.

Look for a cause and effect relationship in your research paper. Your essay will not be a repetition of your research paper, but an offshoot of it.

Ask two questions on your topic..

For example: (these are just sample ideas)

Fiona’s paper on prenatal care for women:

What are the effects of good prenatal care?

What are the causes of poor prenatal care?

Kasey’s paper: What are the possible effects of commercializing space?

Williams’: What are the reasons (causes) for technological advancement in the workplace?

Effects of Wrong Career Choices
What are the effects of wrong career choices?
Most young people end up making poor career choices that haunt them for the rest of their lives. The effects of these choices are dire and include lack of work satisfaction, poor performance, and stress and anxiety. The overall result is a weak economy with unmotivated employees who go to work for the sake of monetary gains, rather than a desire to work.
The first effect of the wrong career choice is that the victim does not enjoy what he or she does. It becomes a burden to wake up every morning to go to work. Sokro, Osei-Bonsu, Agbola, and Ankrah (2011) carried out a study to investigate the relationship between the choice of career and job satisfaction among employees. The researchers established that individuals who make the right career choices had a better satisfaction with their jobs compared to those who made poor career choices. For example, an individual who is passionate about teaching but is misguided and ends up becoming a doctor will not enjoy treating people.
Lack of job satisfaction results in poor performance. Employees who made wrong career choices will lack passion for their jobs and will eventually underperform. Bin (2015) undertook a study to assess the relationship between performance and job satisfaction. The study confirmed that satisfied employees tend to perform better and contribute to the overall success of a business. On the contrary, employees who are not happy do not perform well and become an impediment to the success of the organization. For example, a person misguided to become an engineer will not enjoy performing his or her duties, and eventually, the laxity will show in the performance review.
Poor performance at the workplace will result in friction with the management and the company owners. Consequently, the employee will develo...
