Bobsville is vulnerable to various natural disasters, including tornados that might have far-reaching consequences to the residents. Therefore, the government and emergency agencies need to implement non-structural to mitigate against a tornado. The strategies should be part of the Bobsville Emergency Operations Plan. The citizens will have to take practical steps to prepare and respond to Tornado-related incidents (Bukowski, 2017). The key objective of designing the Incident Specific Index is to meet the standards of the Emergency Management Agency, accreditation program standards of the emergency department, requirements of the national incident-specific annex. Incident Specific Index will have to comply with the Bobsville Emergency Operations Plan.
Purpose
The core purpose of the Incident Specific Index is to provide a framework that can facilitate the preparation of the state of Bobsville and execute an effective coordinated response to boost response and recovery from tornado-related incidents. Besides, the Incident Specific Index will address the impact of tornados in Bobsville while addressing related hazards. According to Bukowski (2017), the Bobsville Incident Specific Index aligns with the city’s strategic plan, capabilities, and all-hazards approach to tornado incident management. In such a case, it will be possible to minimize overall mortality and morbidity rates across the city by enhancing incident management and coordination between private sector entities, neighboring towns, federal partners, and regional organizations. Notably, the Annex will outline the critical roles and responsibilities of all the federal agencies, local agencies, residents, and departments involved in a tornado with Bobsville city and surrounding counties. Therefore, the Annex will be compliant with Bobsville Emergency Operations Plan.
