Greta Thunberg’s 2021 speech’s choice of words was more persuasive than her previous 2019 speech. Though the young lady still maintains her determination to enlighten the world on maintaining the green economy, she uses polite words to pass her message. In the video’s 56th second, she presents an encouraging tone when she says, “Yes, we can do it” (Doha Debates, 2021). Such statements of positivity have a higher chance of convincing people than the use of threats in her previous speech when she says, “We will not let you get away with this.” The narrator’s ability to use constructive criticism in her speech is more convincing than presenting direct accusations to the crowd.
