School-based team meetings are made to generate ideas that would, in turn, help the students learn English. My feedback to the team would be based on the students and class observation. Various students have different abilities to comprehend information. I realized that the student had not completed a quiz that the teacher gave them the previous week. They pointed out that they did not understand the concepts taught in class, and hence, they were unable to complete the assessment. The team would use such information to develop helpful ideas to ensure every students’ classroom needs are catered for. From my observation, I could tell that the student has a lower comprehension capability than the other students.
The student seemed to be distracted during the learning lesson. I noticed that the teacher had to call them twice to get them to answer a question. I would inform them about the disadvantages of such distraction regarding their ease of understanding the concepts being taught. I would also inform the student that they spoke their language too often, which would not help them learn the English language. I would recommend that the students use the English language during all group discussion sessions since this would enhance their abilities to understand the English language. Students have a lot of challenges understanding a new language (Tavares, 2019). Hence, the student ought to add more effort to what the teacher has done to make it easy for them to learn the language.
