In this essay assignment you will be using the same approach that you used to present your topic proposal and outline for your final paper in Module 2. You submitted a topic proposal and outline in module 3 for Essay 2. In this module you will submit your Essay 2.
For Essay, you will write a 1500 – 2000 word (6-7 pages) essay (due here in Module 4 M4A1) that fully addresses the following assignment.
You should bring in at least 5 additional sources beyond the assigned readings that may apply.
The essay will include:
Select TWO of the scientific disciplines in the Natural Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Astronomy, Earth Science)
Create a well organized informative essay that explains, describes analyzes and examines:

Introduction
Since the existence of the two forms of sciences, biology and chemistry have been regarded as a natural science, biology being simply described as the study of life and chemistry the study of matter, its properties and structure. Biology is a discipline that has been in existence and it’s responsible in addressing the basic concepts surrounding life, the physiological structures of the animal body, diseases, and the concept of classification, growth and development of the animals and plants and to some complex end, the origin of life. Due to this aspects, biology has remained to be an important discipline in world curriculum. Despite their popularity as forms of natural science, the two disciplines have many sub branches that have developed research units distributed globally (Motlhabane, 2013). Through the research stations and centers developed, there have been ongoing researches conducted with an aim of finding the solutions to simple issues surrounding the life of animals and plants. These researches are mainly on diseases and their spread and development.
The dogma surrounding the natural sciences
The concept of DNA molecules that are a complex form of biology is considered as the dogma surrounding biology as a natural science. DNA has been established to be mode of transcription of the genetic composition of organisms. The transcription is achieved through the mRNA a form of protein that translates and transcripts the genetic information. After the transcription, the gene is expressed in an organism. At this point, the two disciplines come to relate as chemistry comes in to describe the important concepts of DNA structure and its properties (Motlhabane, 2013). This field of study has been described as biochemistry. The relationship has been further explained and made clear where the concept of chemistry comes in. the process of gene transcription and the translation of the genes to the organism’s body is highly dependent on simple and complex chemical processes. The process is highly dependent on catalysts and mineral ions which are highly regarded as chemical elements.
The process of cell metabolism, a biological concept with a chemical touch also explains the dogma revolving on the natural sciences. This is because; cell metabolism tends to utilize chemical components of the body through chemical processes. Also the cell properties, made up of simple amino acids, are a concept studied in chemistry through the branch of biochemistry. With the use of chemical concepts, there have been advances by biologists to develop strains of animals and plants species (Al-Naqbi, 2005). This process is highly dependent on chemistry and biology and is referred to as genetic engineering. The importance of developing these strains is for them to have strains that will be able to survive in the rapid changing environmental patterns. The development of these strains depends on chemistry thus the relationship of the two natural sciences develops.
As a result to the rapid changing environmental patterns, there comes an effect of climatic change. This results to the development of diseases and infections to the different species that inhibit the ecosystem. The change in climatic conditions around the world has lead to the development and spread of diseases and infections. There are different aspects that have been linked to cause tropical diseases and infection but the change in climatic conditions and the change of important aspects of the environment. As a result of the human migration from one part of the world to another that has been effected by the improved transport systems, the humans tends to act as vectors of these diseases and infections from the tropical regions to world areas where there existed no such infections. All these concepts have been developed as a result of the interrelation between chemistry and biology.
