The Federal Bureau of Investigation of crime statistics defines business crimes, as offenses related to acts of fraud, conducted in a non-violent manner towards businesses (Cliff & Desilets, 2014, p. 484). Business crimes include; computer fraud through which one steals bank information, credit card, and bank information. Bank fraud is the act of conducting activities aimed at deceiving a bank or their customers’ funds. Counterfeiting crime involves copying or imitation items or money and passing them as the genuine article (Cliff & Desilets, 2014, p. 495). Investment schemes are the acts of swindling of unsuspecting individuals by introducing them to fake investments and larceny involves the taking of another person’s funds and property with the intention of stealing it (Cliff & Desilets, 2014, p. 498).
