Taoism, Wu Wei, and Confucian Virtues
As we discuss Chinese religions, how can the Confucian Virtues, the Dao, and wu wei be used in our daily lives?

Confucius wrote of the “Superior Person,” in which every normal human being cherishes the aspiration to become superior to their own past and present as they set their sights on "perfect virtue." When the basic Confucian principles and his notion of ren (pp. 207-208) are guided by virtue, relationships should work a certain way.
At the heart of Daoism philosophy is the concept that the universe works harmoniously according to its own ways and we should be in harmony with the universe. The principle underlying our oneness with the Tao is that of wu-wei, or "non-doing." Note: wu wei does not mean "doing nothing." It does not mean "lazy."
So, the main discussion questions for the week are:
*Identify and explain at least three (3) aspects of Taoism, wu wei and Confucian virtues that would be practical for us.
*How are these concepts similar to those we have studied so far?

Passivity, simplicity, and nature-compatibility are the major Taoist ideals. Taoist sociological norm established the two reverse power and authority in their trust in the rule of togetherness (Maspero, 2019). One of the foremost important conceptions is the development connecting ecology and humanity or the relationship of the entire globe with human civilization, the attitude of constant transformation, a transformation in the Natural World, and a comeback or inversion to all of which is the same as the Dao from whence they sprang (Maspero, 2019). Center Three Confucian norms include filial piety, humanity, and rituals. These attributes are prevalent in Chinese cultural background and the everyday lives of neighbors, such as Japanese and Koreans, as well as their communities (Yao, 2020). Confucianism's main principles are based on the idea that humans are inherently nice, functional, improvable, and flawless via private and social enterprises (Yao, 2020). Confucian notion focuses on the formation of values in an ethical environment.
