In a society, people are guided by specific ethical standards, ethics is an important element that guides all professions, but it is highly regarded among law enforcers. Being ethical means making moral judgments by determining what is right from wrong (Petrazycki & Trevino, 2017). Therefore, an ethical approach on means and ends that would be applicable in my hometown is to review the process used in enforcing the law and maintaining order and the end results.
As the chief police officer, some means of investigations can be deceptive and unacceptable instead I would advocate for better tactics during the criminal investigation like undercover, use of surveillance devices among others.
