Expert witness testimony is important in the courts for correct judgments. It helps to provide the base for shreds of evidence. According to Rehfuess et al. (2017), it has to be helpful to ensure fair judgments. When considering expert witness testimony, several standards are often looked into to help during the proceedings. These testimonials are essential in solving disputes, and so there exist standards or, in other words, prerequisites for expert witnesses. These are as discussed below:
To begin with, the expert witness must have the qualification to testify. He or she must be testifying in regards to the matters needing address.
