Conduct an Intellectual Property Inventory

Instructions:

Provide two examples each of a common or well-known patent, trade secret, copyright, and trademark from your own field of work or research if possible (not from the book). Explain in a few sentences why the example you chose falls under that particular category of IP (Intellectual Property). If you were to use a patent, trade secret, copyright, and trademark to protect yourself today, how long could each protect you? When you complete and publish your dissertation, what type of IP (Intellectual Property) will protect your work? 

Length: 1-2 pages not including title and reference pages or appendices 

References: At least 6 references (one for each type of registerable IP (Intellectual Property)) 

Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.
