One difference is that integration testing checks the interface within the interconnected components, while system testing checks the system as a whole (Rana, 2023). The other difference is integration testing follows unit testing, while system testing follows integration testing. On the other hand, integration testing is limited to functional aspects of integrated components, while system testing is conducted to perform non-functional and functional testing. Since the interfacing logic is required in integration testing, grey or white box testing techniques must work alongside the black box techniques. In contrast, in system testing, the testing is only limited to the functional requirements, which means it only has black box techniques. The other difference is that integration testing focuses on interaction points, communication, and data flow between the modules, while system testing focuses on end-to-end system functionality, user experience, and performance. The other difference is system testing is a higher level that focuses on a fully integrated and complete system, while integration testing is an intermediate level that focuses on integrating modules.
