Is the Location of Wireless Router Causing Slower or Lost Connection

The Xfinity Flex Wireless device is placed behind the Android TV in the living room. However, I usually work from the guest room within the same house. It is also near the fish tank. The network connectivity is usually strong in the living room and kitchen adjacent to the former. The location appears to contribute to poor connectivity in the bedroom and guest rooms, mainly when used behind the walls. It appears that the solid walls are severely affecting my wireless signal leading to an unsteady signal in the bedroom and the guest room. In addition, placing the router behind the Android TV could reflect radio waves off the intended destination.
