Synopsis
SQLite is a relational database management system found in a C library. It usually implements fast, small, high-reliability, self-contained, and full-featured engines (Bonawitz, Eichner, Grieskamp, Huba, Ingerman, Ivanov, & Van Overveldt, 2019). It is the most used type of database in the world. It is usually built into most computers and all mobile phones, and it is contained in other applications that are commonly used by people daily. The main reason for the preference of the SQLite file format is that it is cross-platform, stable, and also backward compatible (Jonas, Schleier-Smith, Sreekanti, Tsai, Khandelwal, Pu, & Gonzalez, 2019). Its usability and reliability in this format have led to developers pledging to ensure that it remains that way until at least 2050. Such files find common uses as containers for transferring rich content between different systems. Further, the source code is available in the public domain, and anyone can use it for free for any purpose (Lenarduzzi, Saarimäki, & Taibi, 2019). SQLite is used for creating databases and prototypes of such systems as a bank account database. 
Prototype Database Design Created
In this exercise, an online tool was used to create the required prototype, with the necessary features to ensure its functionality so that it supports data reporting, warehousing, and mining (Nemetz, Schmitt, & Freiling, 2018). The prototype diagram below shows the user-created data dictionary, user reports (2), tables (2), and entered the data fields appropriately. Arrows are used in this case to the design decisions taken to show the interconnection between the elements to each other. Further, the arrows indicate the dependency between each of the tables and records. One can interpret the interdependency of the tables and files by considering the direction to and from which the arrow points. 
A constraint was also added to the prototype design to ensure the restriction of specific fields to provide protection and retention of data integrity and ensure the database tables are connected (Clemencic, 2019).
