The Tea Act was passed in 1773, and it was established to hurt the American colonies economically. Surprisingly, the British and Indian firms were adversely affected during this time. One of the social factors that influenced the Tea Act was quench for power. Foreign tea companies turned the American colonies, and their primary goal was to get influence. The British colonies had tremendous power support, and they were determined to take most of the American companies. Additionally, it would affect the importation of goods to and from the colonial zones.
