From history I would choose the former United States President, Mr. Barack Obama to interview. Barack Hussein Obama was the first African -American president of the United States of America. He is the 44th President to lead America. His parents were of a different race that is, his father a black and the mother a white. His childhood and teenage life were uneasy as he sought for his identity. After going to college, he realized he could be a better person rather than struggling to fit into an identity of a black man and at the same time to welcome the identity of his white mom. He joined the Harvard School of Law and became a civil rights attorney and a professor teaching Constitutional law after graduation. He won Nobel peace prize in 2009
I picked him as a person of interest because he is an inspiration.His life itself is an inspiration to a multitude of people. He was just despite his multiracial identity. He is an individual who can be emulated because he is learned, a family person and successful.He managed to be an American President that is the first African American President in the office. He believes in success despite being a half-caste. He also believed that intellectual abilities are not tied to a particular race.
He is a successful politician. He was able to bring together all Americans and to celebrate their diversity. He was able to promote peace in warring countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan and many others. He improved his relations internationally with other nations like Cuba, Russia, and Hiroshima among others. He promoted unity in religion that is relations with the Jews, Islam, and Christians. He reformed the health care in the United States such that all Americans could have insurance during his term in office. He ended the genocide in Darfur and voted for its legislation.
I would hope to learn about duty delegation as a leader. This involves being able to assign tasks dutifully to different qualified people and urge each to take full responsibility. I will also want to allow all of my assistants to freely manage their jobs. The duty delegation will as well involve making frequent visits to all fields under my administration and take the objective to get information concerning all areas under my supervision.
Secondly, I will also hope to be a free world leader who openly celebrates the diversity of all people. Like President Obama, I will want to share visions of a better world and encourage each individual to work smart. I will also want to learn tactics of solving issues through negotiations and dialogue and respecting each individual’s opinion. I will hope to learn how to vie peacefully for a leadership seat. When elected, I will want to know how to lead people in fairness and honesty and then resign peacefully. I hope to interact peacefully with all other leaders and people from different nations worldwide.
