Declaration of Independence in United States has remarkable historical contributions to the politics of United States and more so the declaration of independent document which Jefferson wrote and its intended purpose as opposed to what other thinkers thought should be included to form the document which is currently in use. The sole purpose of declaration of independence was to justify the separation of colonies from England. However, it turned up to be a sacred political document being adored today. During its drafting there were many discussions and changes which were done but the most notable today is what Thomas Jefferson`s wrote in relation to the contributions which were made by Benjamin Franklin and John Adams.
It is widely believed that Thomas Jefferson`s introduced the word the creator in the declaration which was a bond of contention at its drafting stage before it was adopted as it was believed that he intended to create a "Christian Nation". Others do argue that its inclusion might not be his idea as his role was drafting the declaration and the first draft which he wrote was not there until they revised it with the five members who were appointed to write the declaration.
Thomas Jefferson`s initial purpose of the document was to justify the separation of colonies from England but through discussion it brought in the issue of Law of Nature, God the creator and divine providence.
