Learning history is indeed fun but one has to have the right attitude. Few people want to learn history but the ones who have will admit that it is indeed essential. Some of the reasons why it is important to study history especially from the 10000 BCE to 1491 include:
* History allows or teaches mankind to think. The first question that comes to mind here is to think about what and why. However, historians will indeed admit that studying the past will enable us to envision what came before. While history is indeed a record of the past, studying it is more than understanding time and place. People get to know and see their reflection and understand why the world is at is or why people think and do what they do.
* History also provides us with the opportunity to learn about how the world has evolved as well as the changes that have taken place in the social, economic, political, and cultural aspects of the society. Understanding the change that has taken place in the different aspects of society is quite essential. Mankind is not only culturally aware but also grasps a deeper understanding of how the world has evolved as well as the different aspects of society. History influences the present and it is only after we have understood what happened before that we can make sense of what is happening around us.
This class was as important as any class I attended and while I may have had a bad attitude towards it at first, I decided to take the challenge and I eventually came to comprehend its importance.
