Population of Interest

The population involved was the adult population, particularly those above 18 years who are under acute care within ward facilities.

Sixty-three articles were used in the analysis

Sampling Method

A systematic quantitative review that utilizes simple random sampling.

There were a number of inferential statistics used in the study, for example, Correlational, cross-sectional and bivariate analyses. Others include multivariate, Pre‐ and post‐test quasi‐experimental design. For example, from the studies, it is noted that 14 studies were cross-sectional while another seven used a cohort study design with a comparison group. Additionally, there was one that had a quasi-experimental design while another one was a randomized controlled trial. Finally, the remaining ones saw one with descriptive correlation and a two-phase measure development study.
