Although the globalization of the United States has brought many benefits of economic growth, it has also contributed to health risks. As people move out and into the nation, they also travel with some disease-causing microorganisms. As a result of this, there is a possibility for the communicable diseases to be transferred into the United States from other parts of the world or other regions across America. Apart from the people, the exchange of products or food between the United States and other nations also provides an opportunity for the human pathogens to spread. Some of the new infectious diseases arising from the issue of globalization in America include West Nile Virus and Dengue Virus (Morens & Fauci, 2013). Some of these illnesses such as malaria, tuberculosis, and cholera are re-emerging brought in by travelers, military personnel, food, and different products from other countries. The dangers are likely to increase with the increasing speeds of movement brought about by technological advancements.
