United Healthcare Evaluation
Description of United Health Care
The United Healthcare network is an organization offering insurance health products and services to employers and individuals in the United States. The organization consists of clinicians and other health professionals willing to help their clients with a variety of medical coverage options (Wesley, 2018). Hence, consumers enjoy a wide range of insurance covers to take care of their medical needs. Also, the acquired insurance policies cover the treatment of various ailments for registered individuals. "United Healthcare has been at the helm of many new healthcare innovations, starting the first network-based health plan for seniors, as well as programs to help coordinate care for those living in nursing homes, individuals needing transplants, individuals dealing with diabetes and cancer, and much more" (Wesley, 2018). The network gives medical cover to all eligible citizens in the country without bias, including severe issues like chronic diseases.
The health care insurance offered by the organization covers families, individuals, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA). However, the rates of payment for insurance differ depending on the area of residence (Wesley, 2018). In this case, two different people with a similar need may be required to pay different amounts of premiums. United Healthcare is efficient in the delivery of products. The organization outlines a straightforward process of acquiring the desired quotes for application. Also, the coverage starts the next day after applying (Wesley, 2018). This efficacy proves that people do not have to keep on paying for medication as they wait for their applications' approval.
Organizational readiness of the United Health care
This network is entirely prepared to secure the health of a significant population of people in the United States. First, the organization allows for not only the employed but also individuals to acquire medical cover (Wesley, 2018). This stance helps many people in the country to purchase medical insurance without any constraints. What would the people running their businesses do? Who would they run to for coverage? Anyone can agree that United Healthcare is ready and willing to help at least every individual in the United States acquire health insurance policy for their medical needs. Otherwise, the unemployed individuals would suffer from spending a lot of resources on medication, not because they do not want to have a cover but because the available organizations only adopt the employed people.
Second, the cover takes effect on the next day after application. The fast approach of processing the applications shows that people can even get cover for any issue, including emergency needs. For instance, a person required to undergo a medical procedure in forty-eight hours can apply and get covered by the policy. Third, the cover of chronic ailments such as cancer helps many individuals to deal with the diseases at affordable prices that are only achievable through the use of insurance covers (Wesley, 2018). These factors prove the readiness and competence assured by the United Healthcare in the offer on health insurance.
Strategic plan to address issues in the delivery of products and services by the United Healthcare
Although the organization is working hard to ensure the identification and fulfillment of patients' needs, issues such as opportunities for growth of the network, nurse staffing, resource management, and patient satisfaction may have failed in implementation. This problem raised the need for strategic planning to ensure they are well solved to enhance effectiveness in operation. Hence, evidence-based practice (EBP) is an efficient way of solving the problems and attaining absolute efficiency in the delivery of health care services (Melnyk et al., 2016). EBP is an effective method of achieving high-q...
