In the nursing sector, various leadership theories have been developed to enhance nurses' daily activities. Leaders in the nursing sector find it is relatively easier to regulate and control their human resources in achieving organizational objectives with the help of these theories. The nurse leaders' honesty and good ethical conduct enhance the workability of other staff members to attain desirable patient outcomes. For successful nursing leadership, various leadership theories have been developed the process.
First, the transformational leadership theory established by James MacGregor Burns in the 1970s is one the leadership theory. According to Burns, transformational leadership entails a situation whereby a nurse leader aims to manipulate the work environment to achieve success (Siangchokyoo et al., 2020). Transformational leadership theory is one of its kind as it illuminates the follower's needs in the workplace. The nurse leader is vision-oriented, and this helps the organization achieve its mission and vision. In most circumstances, the nurse leader acts as the role model, making the subordinates below easily visualize what is expected of them and actively participate in bringing change to the organization.
