An effective negotiation process should incorporate paternalistic healthcare and a patient-centered approach to ensure that all the parties are satisfied. Therefore, it is essential to understand the patient's needs for effective coordination and negotiation during patient education.

The main conditions that should be included in the patient contract include confidentiality and behavior. The stated conditions are significant since they determine the interaction between the client and health professionals.
