Phase I – Introduction and Assessment — In this section you will give background on your organization, introduce the project that precipitates the strategic plan and what your assessment tools and approach will be. Your introduction and assessment should include: a. The mission, vision, values statements, structure, and current community position of the organization. b. Project topic that is the focus of the strategic plan, including the goal(s) of this project(Smart Goals) .Pls focus on identifying and developing business justification/need for a chosen organization. For example, how will this service be funded? Any proposed service should most likely be revenue-generating or revenue-sparing. c. An appropriate analysis tool to assess the impact of your project on your organization. d. The effect of internal and external factors on the feasibility and development of the project. Cite a scholarly source that explains the reason and value of the SWOT analysis. Also, you will need to prepare an actual SWOT analysis that directly specific to your chosen organization and the chosen initiative. II. Phase II – Implementation and Communication Plans a. Implementation Plan:The purpose of an implementation plan is to provide a definition of the tasks required to implement the project, ethical and legal considerations, financial impact, and needed human resources. Assessing initiatives and developing step-by-step procedures for implementing changes will assist with achieving project goals. The ability to recognize boundaries and exercise decision making is required to develop project goals and formulate specific plans for implementation. When working with project teams, the implementation plan helps outline project tasks, the responsibility for each task, and associated target dates. Development of a solid project implementation plan is essential to proper project management. Provide a comprehensive plan for implementation that includes: i. Target area or intended population and establish the goals. ii. The timeline and implementation milestones of the initiative. iii. Financial impact of the initiative, including any necessary capital expenditures, necessary fundraising, or potential financial benefits. iv. Resources needed to effectively implement the initiative, including staffing, equipment, technology needs, and so forth. v. Compliance with all federal and state regulations relevant to the proposed plan. vi. Potential ethical challenges and formulate plans for monitoring behavior, practices, procedures, and so forth. b. Communication and Management Strategy: Your total communication plan should address the strategies and practices you will employ to communicate to the proper stakeholders at the proper times. In this section you should detail your comprehensive approach for how you will communicate this change and its impact, how you will keep people informed of the project’s progress, and how you will keep them informed of the project’s ongoing results. you will identify strategies and practices to ensure stakeholder involvement and support for the project. You will discuss models, theories, and/or methods to support the change management process, post-implementation process, and a plan for managing and measuring the progress and success of your initiative. The following are steps for the development of the communication and management plan: 1Progress communication: This is a discussion on the strategies and practices that will be used to communicate progress with management, the board of directors, and other stakeholders within the organization. 2Change management plan: This is a discussion of strategies that will be used to guide relevant parties through the changes that the initiative will require. This needs to include strategies for dealing with impacted employees, patients, clients, and even departments and outside stakeholders, depending on the type of initiative within your organization. 3Post-implementation communication: How will results and ongoing communications be provided? Who will be the audiences for these various communications, and how will you ensure that each audience receives the correct information in an appropriate manner and time? 4The purpose of the evaluation plan is to identify the need, identify recommended and implemented solutions, and assess outcomes. The identification of the stakeholders and the role they play in developing, implementing, and evaluating the project is also important. What strategies will be used to measure success, and how will adjustments be made should progress towards these goals fall short or change? c. How do you intend to collect and analyze information to ascertain stakeholder satisfaction with the initiative?
