For this assignment, you will design a NEW 45- to 60-minute class, perform it yourself, and analyze the results.

(By new, we mean please do not evaluate a class you already teach. The goal of this assignment is to show that you can both design and critically analyze a class of your own design.)

The class needs to include warm-up, any necessary skill instruction or skill review, training segment, and a cool-down/stretching component.

Step One: Pre-work

Describe your target audience.

What equipment do you plan on using?

Identify your teaching strengths/weaknesses.

How many people do you feel comfortable handling at one time?

What are your core exercises going to be?

How can you modify or substitute these exercises to be more or less challenging?

Step Two: Design your class

Use the components you identified above to design your class. Provide a description, including the individual components. Be sure to include warm-up, any necessary skill instruction or skill review, training segment, and a cool-down/stretching component. Be precise and specific.

Perform the workout yourself, without making any adjustments.

Analyze your design by answering the following:

Regarding the market dissection, females are the target onlookers. Thus, women of ages ranging between 25 and 40 majorly target the marketplace of my precinct fitness. Besides, ladies in the working-class set much health awareness and enjoy their workout in wellbeing and fitness zone as they would want to relax in the setting. Also, hormonal variations contribute to or irritate young women (Meenapriya, Gayathri, & Priya, 2018). Manifold pieces of research equally demonstrate that young ladies would want something that would help them boost their moods; ultimately, exercise has been their center of solace to aid in releasing endorphins, which are crucial in lowering their levels of stress, enhancing their self-esteem, and immensely contributing to a sense of better health.
Most ladies do not feel comfortable lifting barbells and free weights, yet they require mixed resistance exercise plus cardio to attain optimal shape. Hence, there are numerous pieces of equipment that I would provide in my workout room. One of the machines is the entire gym core guide/trainer. It is an easy and simple machine to use no matter how the name might sound. It comprises a board plus rolling glide and a pad and handles at its top to enable users to apply various crunches, planks, and pikes. The whole machine is good in helping the user to strengthen their back, shoulders, abdomen, and hips. The user is not required to use much upper-body power to execute it. Another helpful piece of equipment that I would want to deploy in the fitness room is a glute machine. It is helpful to women who majorly work on desk tasks since they are mostly weak in the glutes due to extended hours of sitting. The Glute machine is executable with other machines for total fitness and eliminates enduring back pain, including other physical health issues.
Moreover, water rower is another critical piece of equipment that young ladies can execute for fitness purposes. It is a kind of machine that offers total body fitness. The machine can also integrate pushing of the lower body and pulling of the upper body. Since I intend to provide a facility with full fitness while targeting working-class ladies, the machine will be better for ladies who encounter postural issues due to prolonged sitting while typing at their workplace. The hack squat is suitable for most ladies who desire to have a better tone of their lower body. It is commendable for ladies who have limited time for walking to avoid bone infections, like osteoporosis and osteopenia.
The treadmill can equally help young ladies with cardio exercises as it assists with better shaping. The machine is versatile and may provide ladies with an improved workout intended for leaning out since it targets stubborn fats, including muscles in the hips, glutes, and legs. Furthermore, other vital pieces of equipment can help young women with immense body exercise. For instance, I would install a stationary bike. A 30-second burst can leave one breathless. Thus, a sensible pace is good for everybody who wants to burn out calories and gain a firm body. Also, the smith machine is another additional piece of equipment for ladies' fitness. One can use it to build body muscles through squats, deadlifts, and shoulder presses.
Consequently, teaching strengths are imperative in a fitness room. One of my teaching strengths is social and communication skills. It is helping in imparting fitness ideas to my students or clients. Besides, I believe in my capability to effectively handle conflicts in the gym house. Another instruction strength that I have is the capability to clarify challenging stuff more merely. Creativity is an additional strength in my teaching. It is crucial in handling complex scenarios that may need intense engagement and the inclusion of a missing workout machine. However, every teaching bears a weakness. For instance, it would be a challenge for me to handle emotional issues among young women effectively.
