Epigenetics and Disease Risks As a healthcare professional, it is fundamental to acknowledge the risks posed by BRCA1 and BRCA2 and their contribution to the eventual diagnosis of breast cancer in individuals. In this context, when consulting a patient with these mutations, it is critical to remain objective of the potential vulnerability of such persons.
