Reliability and validity are critical domains in appraising the quality of an evidence-based research project, mainly based on its methodology. Reliability relates to the stability of the project outcomes, whereas validity depicts the truthfulness of the outcomes (Mohajan, 2017). In health care settings, validity and reliability domains influence the methodology used to gather data concerning the target population described in the proposed PICOT question. This entails the healthcare organization leadership team showing commitment to zero harm, respect for project participants, cultivating a complete functional safety culture, and robust process enhancement approaches anchored on interprofessional collaborations (Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare, 2021). Such practice eliminates the challenge of blurred clarity of the objectives – a barrier that undermines effective project implementation.
