Introduction
In the view of the Gallup Organization, those who are considered effective are those who understand their strengths as well as behaviors. This is since such people are capable of developing working strategies that meet as well as exceed the demands of daily lives. The report on signature themes shows the five most dominant themes of talent that an individual possesses. These strength are bound to help in the building of personal success and career and in this study they include: Connectedness, developer, adaptability, strategic, relator. This study focuses on revealing these signature themes which actually presents an individual’s most dominant strengths by use of Gallup Organization method.
Description of my strengths
One of my strength is the quality of connectedness, whereby I have enough presence of mind to consider myself as a part of a larger community. This makes my dealing with the people a little more cautious, considerate, caring and accepting them the way they are irrespective of their background. I have the capability of creating a peaceful coexistence between any rival groups, giving them comfort and building their confidence beyond their belief.
My strength on being a developer enables me to recognize potential in others. It makes it possible for me to work with groups of individuals and mentor their lives to the full realization of their potential. As a nurse, this quality helps me give my full services to patients since my desire is to see them overcome their present conditions. My key focus is to enable those around me experience success, whereby, I prescribe interesting ways that can challenge them and help them grow. This makes several people to seek my advice and encouragement since they find it my counsel both satisfying and fulfilling.
My adaptability nature enables me to quickly adapt to current changes within any environment. It is therefore, in my strength to respond vividly to the demands of the moment. This makes it easier for me to work within the emergency section of any hospital. This character trait reinforces my nature of being flexible and capable of staying productive amidst pressure within the work environment. Further my strength of being strategic enables me to easily navigate through the right and best route in any setting. This represents a rational and distinct way of thinking through issues. I am capable of seeing patterns where majority can only identify complexity.
Then being a relator helps me maintain relationships both at lower and professional levels. Making new friendships and being around close friends gives me a thrill since I’m very much comfortable with intimacy. It is important for me to understand people’s feelings, goals, fears and their dreams and always willing to share my part of the dream.
Reflection on my strengths, giving specific examples from my personal and/or professional lives
The strength of being a developer has ensured that I make some self-sacrifices for the sake of serving others. This makes it possible the devotion of my services and abilities towards the welfare as well as interest of others. For instance, in the hospital environment, I tend to work extra hours since I find fulfillment in ensuring that patients are satisfied the hospital services. I tend to prioritize the needs of my clients over my own, whereby my devote service is towards all irrespective of their background affiliations. The theme of connectedness makes me to be highly convinced on tending to people’s needs, therefore, easier to transform and influence the lives of my followers through regular communication as well as acting as their role model. Further, my ability to provide the sense of purpose, meaning, value, self-esteem as well as determination including emotional control and confidence makes me influential.
Being a relator enables me to influence the consciousness of my followers whereby I am able to contribute much towards the alignment of their thoughts for the purposes of achieving organizational mission and goals. I have the capability of motivating them towards understanding as well as pledging allegiance to the vision which is a key quality of transformational style of leadership especially on the grounds of inspirational motivation. The developer theme focuses majorly on the existence of the organization which eventually overlooks my personality as the leader. In this case, it is important to make the followers feel part and parcel of the pursuit of organizational goals. This quality can be related to futuristic strength whereby at times it is easier to assert more autonomy on fellow workers and patients especially when it comes to decision making, hence making them feel a sense of belonging. Evidently, my strength of being a strategist enables easier fixing of people’s or organizational needs with ease and grace as part of my favorite activities.
Use of literature in describing transformational leadership (no less than three references)
Different theories as well as explanations are used in describing leadership at either individual or organizational capacity. In this case, there are efforts made towards ensuring appropriate classification as well as clarification of different dimensions utilized in the definition of active leadership (Tse et al., 2018).
