Quality in medical spheres means “doing the right things for the right individuals at the right time and doing them right initial time and every time” (Dodwad, 2013). Quality can also refer to care’s technical quality or nontechnical facets of service delivery, including patient’s waiting time and practitioners’ attitudes. Quality management is a managerial aspect that identifies and implements quality policies. It incorporates strategic planning, resources allocation, and other systematic quality activities, including operations, quality planning, and evaluations (Dodwad, 2013). This paper evaluates healthcare organizations' quality management objectives and applies systems approaches to healthcare quality procedures.
Healthcare Quality Management Objectives
The various quality management objectives in healthcare organizations include customer focus, stakeholder involvement, leadership, process orientation, and continual improvement (Dodwad, 2013).
Customer Focus
Like any firm, every public or private, public healthcare organization, when offering medical services, should respect the patient-centered approach. This framework is an essential objective in the private and public services development as it constitutes one of the important healthcare services’ reforms drivers. These organizations exist to meet customers’ needs, expectations, and demands (Tosic, Ruso, & Filipovic, 2018). Stakeholder Involvement
