Personal Philosophy
I selected to become an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) because my nature and conduct are well-matched for compassionate to others. Presently, I am working as an APN in the emergency department of the hospital. It helps me to be more involved in the training process and give sympathetic and honest patient care while preserving a therapeutic environment. Once my trainer told me that in primary care, usually, patients forget what techniques or protocols you applied to cure them but they never forget the way you please them. In my point of view, APN is a complicated and transcultural procedure pulverized in a virtuous and divine context. For me, caring is an ethical duty that protects the right of the patient as human dignity. Before implementing any care plan, it is essential to know about the preferences of the patient to facilitate accordingly. It is essential that all healthcare staff participate actively in the primary care plan to provide a therapeutic environment for the patient. The collaboration of nurses with physicians and patient’s family strengthen the commitment to achieving the goal of patient wellbeing (Parker & Hill, 2017). As APN, I found many opportunities to care for individuals from different backgrounds. During my career, I learned the significance of giving complete care to the patients. This kind of attention reveals my personal philosophy. It gives me a feeling of personal pride when I use my understanding and abilities in nursing for the recovery and wellbeing of the patients. With the help of health promotion, a huge range of population gets proficient care that increases positive health results. With my philosophy of compassionate and health advancement, I will be able to give empathic and universal care to a different group of patients as APN.
