Undertaking the nursing program is one of the most challenging and fulfilling journeys I will ever take in my life. I understand that I will need strategy and planning to complete the program successfully and I intend to stay focused throughout the program. I expect to acquire skills, knowledge, and experience that will useful in solving current and future healthcare problems. Given that this is my dream, I also intend to enjoy the process and cherish every encounter as I grow to be a well-rounded professional capable of working collaboratively with different stakeholders in the healthcare field. In essence, I expect to commit to life-long learning, understand the interplay of ethics, and learn about evidence-based practice.
I expect to commit to life-long learning that will continue throughout my nursing career. It is therefore my expectation that the program will set me on a path which I will be proud of many decades to come. I understand that the challenges in the nursing profession keep changing with time and to be able to handle new challenges, continuous learning is important. I believe that with a commitment to life-long learning, I will be in a position to develop strong collaborative relationships with co-workers and patients, improve patient outcomes, and reduce errors.
