However, they both have advantages and disadvantages (Squires, 2018).
The researcher employs a strict and controlled design to investigate a phenomenon through accurate measurements when using the quantitative technique. A quantitative study might, for example, look at a patient's heart rate after consuming a caffeinated beverage. On the other hand, the qualitative method examines things in-depth and holistically.
The advantage of using the qualitative approach is that it focuses on more profound insights into the design.
