1. What was your role in the nurse-client relationship?
The relationship between a nurse and a patient/client must be professional to ensure each of them is comfortable. Concepts are defined to elaborate on the relationship between nurses and clients. A lot of this link to work and the expected outcomes. The ideas cut across other professions, but there are those I hold dear to the nursing profession. The two most adored are empathy and power.
On empathy, I kept the professional standards while dealing with clients. I understand that we need to be empathetic and considerate, but must be emotionally healthy to avoid giving a signal of weakness to the clients.
