Supine position creates an excellent environment to study the human body. An individual stands straight and directly face the observer. The feet of the person are always flat, with their toes facing forward. They place their upper limbs at the body side as their arms face ahead. It allows experts to understand the different parts of the body within a similar reference frame. The location and movement of the structures are given by the anatomical plane. Synovial joints allow the body movements through contracting and relaxing of muscles. The bone structure controls the direction of the forces. All joints in the bodywork in conjunction to control movement for flexibility and mobility.
When the knee joint is flexed, the keep motion occurs where the flexion-extension axis is perpendicular to the sagittal plane. The plane dives the body into right and left pairs. Notably, the flexion-extension axis is constant and directed from anterior on the medial side to posterior inferior on the lateral side. The axis passes through the medial and lateral origin. The knee has anatomical structures, that is, the leg tibia and the femur of the thigh. The reference axes give the sagittal movement while the frontal axis passes through the fulcrum. During flexion, the legs move anteriorly and posteriorly.
